The heart & soul behind the wild..
We’re Kyla and Matt, and Somewhere Wild Cabin grew out of a pretty simple idea: We wanted to create the kind of place we’re always looking for ourselves.
We love being outside, exploring new trails, finding small towns, taking the long way home, and ending a full day somewhere comfortable enough to put our feet up and stay awhile. Somewhere Wild is our little piece of that—a cabin surrounded by the Virginia mountains where life feels quieter, adventure is close by, and nobody cares what time you make coffee.

We’ve put a lot of ourselves into this place, from the projects and renovations to the small details that make a stay feel easy. It isn’t meant to be precious or perfect. It’s meant to be lived in—to bring your dog, get your boots muddy, sit outside too long, sleep late, and make yourself at home.

We hope you love being here as much as we do.
